Cars Forgotten – Stories was born as an online Encyclopaedia to write the history of automotive marques which have disappeared, along with the models they produced.
An idea born from the desire to tell the stories of these brands and the models they made, the innovations and their contributions that have made people more and more passionate about the world of four wheels. But how often it happens that history is written by those who have survived and those who have fallen by the wayside are relegated, however unjustly, to a minor role.
From American Motors to Zündapp, with this project I am trying to “give a voice” to those who are no longer there, analysing the contexts in which these companies operated, the innovations introduced and the reasons for their failure.
